Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains what INNOBYTE collects when you use Inno Cheque Writer BD, why, and what we never collect.
What we never receive
Payee names, amounts, amounts in words, cheque dates, notes, cheque numbers, account names and numbers, cheque books, bank balances, your cheque history and reports, your saved payees and your calibration stay on your PC. They are stored there encrypted with a key protected by your Windows account. The app has no feature that uploads them.
What we collect
- Account: your name, e-mail address, mobile number and a hash of your password (we cannot read your password).
- PCs: a random installation number, an identifier derived from your PC's Windows installation (hashed, not the hardware ID itself), the PC name, Windows and app version, and when the PC was last used.
- Usage: for each cheque printed or saved as PDF, a random job number, whether it was a print or a PDF, and the time – no contents.
- Payments: the plan, amount, invoice number, payment status, the payment method and transaction number. We never receive card numbers, PINs or OTPs.
- Security records: sign-in attempts and important account actions with a shortened IP address (the last part removed) and the browser or app name.
- Messages you send us. A problem report started from the app (Help › Report a problem) also contains the technical details shown in the form – the app and Windows versions, the bank preset and the printer – which you can change or delete before sending. It never contains cheque details.
Why
To run your account, count the monthly allowance, enforce plan limits, process and record payments, prevent abuse such as many free accounts on one PC, send service e-mails (confirmation links, receipts, renewal reminders) and answer your questions. We do not sell your data, show advertising or use analytics or tracking cookies.
Who else sees it
- Innobyte Billing (billing.innobyte.io), the payment service run by INNOBYTE, receives your name, e-mail and mobile number and an account number when you buy or redeem a code. It takes the payment, sends the receipt and renewal reminders, and keeps the payment records – including when you accepted the terms at checkout, with your IP address and browser name as proof.
- PayStation, the payment processor Innobyte Billing uses, receives your name, e-mail, mobile number and the amount when you pay.
- Our hosting and e-mail providers store or deliver data on our behalf.
- Authorities, where Bangladeshi law requires it.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. The app does not use cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and PC data while your account exists. When you close your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except payment records, which we keep as long as the law requires for financial records, together with the log of changes to them. Innobyte Billing then replaces your name, e-mail and phone in its copy and stops all reminders; it keeps the invoices for the books. Records of sign-in attempts are kept for up to one year.
Your choices
You can see and correct your details, download a copy of your account data, remove PCs and close your account on My account, or ask us by e-mail.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as Argon2 hashes. Staff access requires two-factor authentication and is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell you.
